On one side, this extremely fine, rare piece shows a sage at rest; on the other side it shows a ginseng root, the source of his health. This fine honey and red jade sculpture artfully uses the natural color structure of the original stone to highlight the subject.
Certified as 100% genuine, natural jade by Gemologist Dong Zhen Xin in Beijing, 2004, on behalf of the Gem Testing Centre, Chamber of Jewelry of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, 88 Funei St. Xicheng District, Beijing.
